The FWT Qualifier and Junior Communication Coordinator is a key member of the Communication and Sports Development teams. This person acts as a link between these departments, assisting with seasonal communication efforts and managing social media to engage the Junior and Qualifier communities. They also support the Sports Development team in various areas.
About the FWT
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) team consists of 15-20 passionate staff members based near Lausanne, Switzerland. They organize the five-stop Freeride World Tour circuit, including the renowned Xtreme Verbier event, and coordinate over 90 Qualifier and Junior events worldwide, overseeing a global community of licensed riders.
The role involves significant work and travel, with time spent at events and engaging with the FWT community, which includes staff, riders, and partners. Meet the team
The Communication team creates content and shares stories about the competitions and riders. The Sports Development team organizes Challenger, Qualifier, and Junior events, which serve as the sport's pyramid and connect the organization with athletes. Team members collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including event organizers and athletes, ensuring smooth operations and continuous fieldwork during winter. Your Missions
The ideal candidate should have strong skills in social media management, focusing on the FWT Qualifier and Junior communities. Responsibilities include scheduling, publishing, and monitoring social media posts across platforms, sourcing content from athletes, partners, and organizers, and coordinating social media during events. The role also involves managing newsletters, web news, and visual content, ensuring brand consistency and engaging storytelling.
This position requires the ability to work quickly, handle stressful situations (especially during events), and collaborate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
