Full-time - Paris or London hybrid or Remote from Western EU

Kiln is now part of the prestigious French Government program #FT120 from La French Tech!

As a Fullstack Engineer at Kiln, you will join our Software Development Team, composed of 14 engineers split into 4 squads, building the future of our SaaS / API-first products. You will report to our Lead Software Engineer and collaborate with the Product, Infrastructure, and Smart-Contract teams to work on various products Kiln offers.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
2. Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard Widget).
3. Design, develop, and implement new features:
4. 70% frontend (e.g., using our design system to build new features or adding new components).
5. 30% backend (e.g., implementing transaction crafting for new protocols).
6. Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance.
7. Interact with customers for debugging and product discovery.
8. Ensure compliance with software security norms (Kiln is SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certified).
9. Suggest continuous improvements for Kiln’s platform and engineering practices.
10. Communicate with other teams to align on the software roadmap and technical challenges.

Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend, Frontend, or Fullstack) designing, building, and deploying user-facing and API-based products.
2. Proven proficiency in TypeScript and React in a professional setting.
3. Familiarity with best practices in software development (Testing, CI/CD, DevOps, Security).
4. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving).
5. Curiosity and ability to delve into topics thoroughly.
6. Ability to balance impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment.
7. Experience or personal projects in web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies, with understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi.
8. Fluent in French and English.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts.
• Experience building dApps with Wagmi and Viem libraries.
• Knowledge of raw blockchain transaction crafting.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup environment.
• Living near Paris or London.
