Job Skills / Requirements

• Position: Security Guard
• Site: CF Toronto Eaton Centre - 220 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5B 2H1. Must be flexible to be sent to other CF sites in Toronto, Downtown, Etobicoke, and Mississauga (travel required).
• City: Downtown Toronto
• Status: Full-Time
• Hours: 8 - 12 hour shifts - Days, times will vary
• Pay Rate: $17.50/hr - Site dependent. This position requires travel and working at multiple sites.
• Training: Mandatory 4-day virtual and in-class training at our Etobicoke office.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform assigned shifts, complete investigations and incident reports.
• Conduct constant patrols and interact with tenants and the public to ensure safety and provide customer service.
• Respond to emergencies, lead incident responses involving violence, conduct arrests, enforce mall rules, and remove undesirables.

Additional Duties

• Travel to multiple sites around Toronto, Etobicoke, and Mississauga.
• Support security operations and fill open shifts.
• Maintain compliance with property standards, rules, and regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies with first aid, CPR, or AED support.
• Enforce access control and conduct safety inspections.
• Handle trespassers and enforce the Trespass to Property Act.
• Maintain detailed reports and incident logs.
• Monitor CCTV systems, de-escalate crises, and assist law enforcement.
• Support daily operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• At least 1 year of mall security or relevant experience.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid & CPR Level C, and vulnerable sector check.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, handle stress, and make decisions under pressure.
• Clean driver’s abstract.

Prerequisites

• Proof of valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum 2 doses).
• Basic Security Training.

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid G or G2 Driver’s License
