Overview

Compensation - $17 hourly + full benefits

The Yard Person is responsible for building loads for deliveries, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard, loading and unloading lumber and building supplies, and operating a forklift. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Build loads for delivery
2. Load and unload lumber and building supplies
3. Operate forklift
4. Keep management informed of any delays or discrepancies
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively communicate one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
