Position Overview:

Onfido, an Entrust company, is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer who enjoys problem-solving and programming. The role involves backend or frontend development, working on AI-powered digital identity solutions in a collaborative, agile environment that emphasizes quality, testing, and rapid delivery.

The Role:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions, including APIs, image quality, and data extraction.
• Prototype and iterate to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Prioritize privacy and security standards in product development.
• Own the development process from design to deployment.
• Enhance system reliability through testing and resilient design.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.

Essential Experience:

• Strong software engineering background with problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in system design, architecture, OOP, and cloud-native architectures.
• Product-focused with involvement in all development phases.
• Familiarity with Lean/Agile methodologies.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Python, Ruby
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Deployment: Kubernetes, Docker
• Infrastructure: AWS services (Aurora, Redis, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, API Gateway)
• Lifecycle management: GitLab

Nice to Have:

• Web experience with React and architectural frameworks.
• Experience with functional and object-oriented programming.
• Cross-device/browser project experience.
• Test automation skills.
