U-Space is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer M/F to join the Technical Department and support the Ground Systems and Operations team in Toulouse. You will define requirements, drive architecture, and deliver robust software across on-site and client environments.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and has 5+ years in similar roles, with expertise in Java, Python, Angular or similar web frameworks, Git, CI/CD, Docker, REST APIs, Jira, and MongoDB.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/IT with web development or programming specialization.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented and web development (Angular or similar).
• Experience with Java applications and Python scripting for automation/data processing.
• Experience with Git and SonarQube.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Docker image deployment.
• REST API development experience; Jira; MongoDB.
• Excellent communication, fast learner, autonomous, innovative, creative.
• Space sector knowledge would be a plus; French and English fluency mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Define software requirements alongside the Product Owner, end-users, and development teams.
• Design software architectures by selecting appropriate technologies and standards, and produce the development plan along with its associated documentation.
• Write source code in compliance with development standards, software engineering best practices, and the team’s methodologies and tools.
• Deploy systems, train users, and maintain software both internally and at client sites.
• Participate in technical and operational qualification testing and produce the specific deliverable documentation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document anomalies in software systems, both in development and in production.
• Drive software development in project mode, providing regular visibility on progress, risks (both technical and human), and blockers.
• Ensure software quality, traceability, and performance, as well as compliance with business requirements and development standards.
• Assess team-developed solutions with a critical eye and proactively propose new features based on operational feedback (lessons learned).

Within the Technical Department and reporting to the Ground Systems and Operations department, as a Full Stack Software Engineer M/F, your main responsibilities will be as follows :

• Define software requirements alongside the Product Owner, end-users, and development teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Holding a Master’s degree or equivalent (Engineering/IT school or University with a specialization in web development or computer programming), you have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

You have solid knowledge of object-oriented software development and web development (Angular or equivalent framework).

You are familiar with designing and developing robust applications in Java, and developing high-performance automation and data processing scripts in Python.

You are proficient with a version control tool like Git, and software quality tools such as SonarQube.

You have significant experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and you are proficient in building and deploying Docker images.

Previous experience in REST API development, working in an agile environment with Jira, as well as with MongoDB databases, would be appreciated.

You have excellent communication skills, and a strong capacity for learning. You also demonstrate autonomy, innovation, and creativity.

Proficiency or experience in a topic applied to the space sector (telecommunication protocols, interfacing with ground station networks, orbital mechanics, simulation tools…) would be a plus.

Fluency in French and English is mandatory.Your knowledge of the Space industry, and more specifically NewSpace, will be highly appreciated.
