Overview

What you'll be doing

Future is looking for a Software Engineer with 5 years or more of professional experience in web and software applications development and Agile team work, to join our development team in Grenoble (Hybrid role remote/office in Echirolles).

As part of a small, collaborative and experienced development team, and in collaboration with our European R&D, you will help build important services and applications of our technology stack, which delivers and monetizes millions of online content pages daily from our specialized editorial hubs (over 100 digital brands including TechRadar, Tom's Guide, PC Gamer, AndroidCentral, iMore).

Reporting to the Tech Lead, you'll work with other members within our current tech environment – Java/Kotlin/Spring, TypeScript/React, Gitlab CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, MongoDb, InfluxDb. – and our next-generation's stack, with performance and scalability constraints. You'll collaborate in an environment where we value team decisions and self-organization, ownership, continuous improvement, and quality, well-covered, and easy-to-maintain code. You will experiment with new technologies to find suitable solutions for efficient and sustainable development.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

• You are passionate about developing systems integrating multiple solutions and technologies.
• You have experience in web development or service-oriented architecture, on the backend Java/Kotlin, Spring.
• Development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React.
• You are familiar with CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices, such as GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes.
• You enjoy teamwork and have practical experience with agile organization and team responsibility, and the use of standards such as XP and clean code.
• You are comfortable communicating locally and remotely, including in English.
