NEW ROLE – BACKEND RUBY ON RAILS DEV – REMOTE

The client is a well-established e-commerce company based in France that holds a significant stake in their market. This is a really cool client - they avoid pointless meetings, have a fix-it, don't-just-cover-the-cracks mantra, and are eyeing serious growth plans! I work with many clients, but this one always leaves a great impression on all candidates, even those who are successful in the process. I've placed 2 developers there — both have stayed 4+ years and are still with the company.

The Role:

1. Greenfield development
2. Identify and communicate the root cause of problems to establish better solutions
3. Work with a pure Ruby backend library, communicating with APIs and a modern Rails app
4. Use PostgreSQL database and mobile apps

You?:

1. A lover of the RoR stack – ideally with 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
2. Strong English skills – written and verbal – must be proficient to work in this language
3. Ability to work French hours (+/- 2 hours)

Interview Process:

1. Meet with EM/CTO – discuss the role, the company, and your background and experience
2. Technical coding challenge
3. Review feedback from the technical challenge and meet wider team members
