Job Description:

NEW ROLE – BACKEND RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER – REMOTE

The client is a well-established e-commerce company based in France with a significant market presence. They are known for a pragmatic work culture—avoiding pointless meetings and focusing on fixing issues rather than covering cracks. The company has strong growth plans and a positive reputation among candidates. I have successfully placed two developers there, both of whom have stayed for over four years.

The Role:

1. Greenfield development
2. Identify and communicate root causes of problems to establish better solutions
3. Work with a pure Ruby backend library, communicating with APIs and a modern Rails app
4. Use PostgreSQL database and develop mobile apps

Candidate Profile:

1. Passionate about the RoR stack with ideally 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
2. Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal)
3. Ability to work French hours with a +/- 2-hour flexibility

Interview Process:
