NEW ROLE – BACKEND RUBY ON RAILS DEV – REMOTE

The client is a well-established e-commerce company based in France with a significant market share. They are known for a pragmatic approach—avoiding pointless meetings and focusing on fixing issues rather than covering cracks. They have ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation among candidates. I have placed two developers there, both of whom have stayed over four years.

The Role:

• Greenfield development
• Identify and communicate the root causes of problems to establish better solutions
• Work with a pure Ruby backend library, communicating with APIs and a modern Rails app
• Use PostgreSQL database and collaborate with mobile app development

Requirements:

• Passion for the RoR stack, with ideally 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to work effectively in this language
• Ability to work French hours with a +/- 2-hour flexibility

Interview Process:

• Meet with the Engineering Manager/CTO to discuss the role, company, and your experience
• Complete a technical coding challenge
