Job Description:

NEW ROLE – BACKEND RUBY ON RAILS DEV – REMOTE

The client is a well-established e-commerce company based in France that holds a significant stake in their market. This is a really cool client - they avoid pointless meetings, focus on fixing issues rather than covering cracks, and have serious growth plans! I work with many clients, but this one always leaves a great impression on all candidates, even those who are successful in the process. I've placed 2 developers there - both have stayed over 4 years and are still there.

The Role:

• Greenfield development
• Identify and communicate root causes of problems to establish better solutions
• Work with a pure Ruby backend library, communicating with APIs and a modern Rails app
• Use PostgreSQL database and mobile apps

Ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about the RoR stack, with 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
• Proficient in English (written and verbal)
• Able to work French hours with a +/- 2-hour flexibility

Interview Process:

• Meet with EM/CTO to discuss the role, company, and background
• Complete a technical coding challenge
• Discuss feedback and meet wider team members
