Termly is a remote workforce spread across the globe but is primarily centred in the USA and operates during US business hours. We're looking to expand our development team and are hiring for several new roles. We strive to follow agile principles using Kanban.

About the role

We're looking for a full-stack software engineer for our application development team. You're hungry, humble, and smart, and find pleasure in building software. You like collaborating with, learning from, and teaching other members of your team. You're delighted by simplicity and technical excellence.

We have some flexibility on the level of experience : 5+ years of full-stack (or combined BE+FE) software development experience, with pay based on expertise & experience. This role will be working US business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus for this position will be to implement, improve, extend, and maintain the applications that Termly provides. You'll play a contributing role in the entire development process. Termly is committed to helping engineers develop skills to be even better the longer they're with us, something we achieve by having senior folks with decades of experience who love to mentor. This position will report to the AppDev manager.

Some specific tasks include

  • Review and implement technical product requirements
  • Solve and track problems through to resolution
  • Software development
  • On-call assignments are shared across the team, and this role would share that responsibility, and would also be a tier 2 support for fires.

Targeted qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience
  • Work well with leaders, support folks, ops folks, and developers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in refactoring and unit testing
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms
  • You will make a great candidate if you also have

  • Experience working on remote teams
  • Experience with technologies in our tech stack : Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, React, Kubernetes cloud-based infrastructure
