The Role

The successful candidate will join a cross-functional, agile development team that designs, builds, tests, and delivers top-tier software products. Using the latest technologies, our Tech team collaborates closely with the business to ensure our software provides real value for customers.

Responsibilities

Core

• Work within a self-organizing Scrum team to deliver features that surpass customer expectations.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies like planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Focus on user-centric delivery to solve complex business problems.
• Contribute to building and maintaining Lottomart’s hybrid web, iOS, Android apps, and backend services, including design, implementation, refactoring, testing, deployment, and support.
• Write quality code following industry best practices.
• Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
• Support systems in production, which may involve on-call duties.

Strategic

• Contribute to the vision and technical direction of the services managed by your team.
• Promote modern Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practices.
• Mentor colleagues and perform code reviews.
• Help improve all aspects of software delivery continually.

Your Profile

To succeed, you should have:

• A Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a software engineering role.
• A track record of delivering high-quality, functional code to solve complex requirements.
• Extensive experience with Java and Angular.
• Knowledge of at least one RDBMS.
• Familiarity with message-oriented middleware.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and single-page applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, Linux command line, and containers.
• Experience working within an agile process like Scrum.

Additional beneficial skills include:

• Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• HTML, Typescript, CSS, and preprocessors like Less or SASS.
• Mobile app development (native or hybrid).
• Microservices and distributed systems.
• PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Consul, Docker.
• Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms with automated provisioning and deployment.
