Job summary

OLIVER is seeking a French Creative Writer to join our team to deliver high-quality marketing copy for a leading US tech brand. You will ensure copy is accurate, engaging, locally relevant, and aligned with the brand tone and standards.

Responsibilities include post-editing machine-translated copy, transcreating for the local market, delivering launch copy, localising content, proofreading, and collaborating with editors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in the local-market language.
• Strong English proficiency and ability to discuss creative choices.
• Experience in copywriting, translation, and technical writing, ideally in technology or consumer electronics.
• Experience with post-editing machine translation.
• Strong creative writing skills and ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Ability to translate marketing copy while preserving brand voice and messaging.
• Knowledge of technical writing principles and translating complex technical language.

Responsibilities

• Post-edit large volumes of machine-translated marketing copy for accuracy and fluency.
• Transcreate marketing copy to preserve tone and brand personality in the local market.
• Deliver high-quality launch copy for products and maintain consistency across materials.
• Localise copy while staying true to brand voice and inclusive writing standards.
• Proofread and edit copy during final validation for clarity and consistency.
• Write creative copy and headlines, including English back-translations of localized headlines.
• Research product and technical details and coordinate with cross-functional teams for accuracy.
• Stay informed about market trends and socio-political developments that may affect copy and localisation decisions.
