Welocalize is seeking experienced French linguists and copy editors to support a long-term, remote freelance project for a leading multinational. The role focuses on translation, copy-editing, and MTPE across marketing, UI, product, and support content.

Requirements include native-level French with strong English, 2+ years translation with a degree or 5+ years without a degree, CAT tools, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in French with excellent command of English.
• 2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field or
• 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
• Demonstrated experience translating English to French across content types: informational, marketing, UI, product, and support
• Experience using CAT tools
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment
• Strong communication, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
