Job summary

Alexander Barnes Ltd. is partnering with a global digital bank to appoint a France MLRO within its second-line Financial Crime Compliance function. The role will oversee the French AML/CTF framework, engage regulators ACPR and TRACFIN, and drive local governance, controls and reporting.

A focus will be strengthening the framework and preparing for upcoming French and European AML regulatory requirements, aligning with group compliance and operations.

Qualifications

• Senior AML/CTF experience in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Understanding of ACPR supervisory expectations and TRACFIN reporting.
• Experience as MLRO or Deputy MLRO or equivalent regulatory responsibility.
• Experience enhancing financial crime frameworks in international business.

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated TRACFIN reporting officer for suspicious activity reporting and regulatory obligations.
• Engage with ACPR and TRACFIN, including inquiries, inspections and regulatory submissions.
• Develop local AML/CTF governance, reporting frameworks and regulatory controls.
• Provide independent second-line oversight across KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions and investigations.
• Lead implementation of upcoming EU AML reforms (AMLR and AMLD6).
• Collaborate with Group Compliance, Legal and Operations to embed French regulatory requirements.
