Axle Energy in France is seeking a data-driven market analyst/data scientist to become the internal expert on French power markets. You will understand market rules, model value, and build relationships with system operators and regulators.

Fluency in French and English is required, and other European languages are a plus. The role focuses on analysing energy markets, forecasting revenues, and supporting strategic expansion across France, with a 12-month fixed-term contract and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative and modelling ability (Python, SQL)
• Fluent in French and English; other European languages are a plus
• Knowledge of French electricity markets (NEBCO, capacity mechanism, ancillary services) preferred

Responsabilités

• Develop deep understanding of French energy markets and grid dynamics to forecast revenues and cash flows
• Engage with grid operators, regulators and market stakeholders to validate hypotheses
• Model wholesale/NEBCO, capacity, balancing, ancillary services and local flexibility markets in France
• Size revenue opportunities across markets and products to guide expansion
• Evaluate strategies for cycling a battery or load-shifting an EV charger
• Monitor energy regulation to accelerate growth of flexibility
