OpenAI is seeking an experienced, hands-on country lawyer for France to support our local office on regulatory and policy matters affecting OpenAI’s products and operations. You will advise on French and EU developments and translate complex issues into practical recommendations for leadership and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum law degree with strong French law expertise.
• Experience advising on regulatory and policy matters.
• Experience in-house or with government or institutional legal teams.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on French and EU regulatory developments and business implications.
• Support regulatory engagement with French regulators and policymakers.
• Provide country legal support on partnerships, governance, and operations.
• Collaborate with GA, Policy, Product, Privacy and other teams to implement decisions.
