Job summary

Innovative Beauty Group in Paris is seeking a Packaging Engineer to define, validate and optimise packaging for cosmetics across fragrance projects and glass packaging. You will ensure packaging is robust, sustainable and compliant while protecting product integrity and delivering a great consumer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in packaging, preferably in cosmetics/fragrance.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and testing methods.
• Experience in the development of glass-specific products/processes (e.g. perfume bottles).
• Familiarity with CAD software and 3D modelling tools for packaging design.
• Fluent in English; an additional language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure packaging meets brand identity and client requirements, focusing on fragrance initiatives.
• Conduct material analysis to ensure packaging integrity and product compatibility, with attention to glass bottles and fragrance components.
• Optimize packaging specifications for cost-effectiveness, performance and manufacturability with external partners.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards for cosmetic/beauty packaging.
• Manage packaging projects from brief to launch with external manufacturing partners, including timelines and budgets.
• Evaluate and propose new packaging technologies and sustainable options for glass/fragrance packaging.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues identified at suppliers or during launches and provide technical support.
• Create, update and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications and development files.
• Work closely with suppliers to source materials meeting IBG quality and sustainability standards.
