NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced FPSO Static Engineer to join a major ultra-deepwater FPSO development in Paris and across international sites. You will support the Lead Static Engineer, focusing on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and valves from detailed engineering through construction.

The role requires coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Safety teams, reviewing vendor documents, and participating in FATs, with frequent international travel

Qualifications

• An Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a PVV / Static Engineer within the oil & gas, offshore or FPSO industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and valves.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale offshore engineering projects through detailed engineering and construction phases.
• Experience reviewing engineering contractor and vendor documentation.
• Familiarity with FATs, vendor inspections and equipment fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of applicable international codes, standards and engineering practices.
• Fluent English.
• French language capability would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively within an international, multicultural project environment.
• A proactive approach with strong levels of organisation, anticipation and technical rigour.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support to the Lead Static Engineer across the FPSO development.
• Follow up and provide guidance to the engineering contractor on static equipment, piping and valves.
• Review the detailed design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers, particularly for FPSO topsides.
• Ensure engineering and construction activities comply with project specifications, procedures and relevant international codes and standards.
• Review engineering documentation, issue technical comments and follow through to ensure comments are correctly implemented.
• Review and respond to technical queries relating to the static discipline.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with other disciplines including Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Safety.
• Support coordination of interfaces between packages where they relate to static equipment.
• Maintain regular communication with engineering contractors and organise technical meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical matters.
• Ensure design modifications are correctly managed and implemented by the contractor.
• Participate in and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) where required.
• Review critical vessels at vendor premises before and during FAT activities.
• Ensure appropriate as-built documentation is provided following package FAT.
• During the construction phase, support the follow-up of installation activities.
• Promote strong HSE performance and identify and report any discipline-related safety issues encountered during construction.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced FPSO Static Engineer to join a major international ultra-deepwater FPSO development.

The successful candidate will support the Lead Static Engineer and take responsibility for technical follow-up across static equipment, piping and valves, with a particular focus on pressure vessels and heat exchangers. The position will cover the project from detailed engineering through to construction, working closely with the EPSCC contractor, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The FPSO is being designed for ultra-deepwater operations at approximately 3,000 metres water depth, with a processing capacity of approximately 160,000 barrels of oil per day and an extensive subsea development incorporating up to 40 subsea wells.

Location & Rotation

This is a residential position and candidates should be comfortable relocating internationally as the project progresses.

The anticipated project locations are:

• Paris, France: approximately 1 to 2 years
• Singapore: up to approximately 18 months
• Geoje, South Korea: up to approximately 18 months
• Frequent offshore/site missions may also be required.
