Job summary

Harmattan AI in Paris seeks an FPGA Engineer to design and implement real-time DSP datapaths for electronic warfare systems, owning the RTL from concept through silicon.

You will collaborate with RF hardware, embedded software and algorithms teams to deliver high-throughput, low-latency processing, channelization, FFTs and waveform generation for field deployment. The role requires rigorous, structured development and hands-on bring-up on new boards.

Qualifications

• Strong RTL design background in VHDL or SystemVerilog for signal-processing datapaths.
• Solid digital signal processing fundamentals: sampling, mixing, decimation, filter design, FFT, and fixed-point arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• RTL Design & Implementation: Design signal-processing datapaths in VHDL or SystemVerilog from specification to validation.
• Real-Time DSP in Fabric: Implement detection, direction-finding, classification and waveform generation with fixed-point hardware.
• RF & Data Converter Interfacing: Own the digital interface to RF front-end high-speed converters and clocking.
• Hardware/Software Partitioning: Define split between programmable logic and on-chip processors.
• Timing Closure & Resource Budgets: Manage constraints, timing closure and budgets.
• Bring-up, Integration & Validation: Lead FPGA bring-up on new boards with RF instrumentation and OTA testing.
• Technical Coordination: Collaborate with RF, embedded, GNC and ML teams on interfaces.
• System Reviews & Documentation: Contribute to reviews and maintain traceability between requirements, design and testing.
