Panora is seeking a Founding Data Engineer to design and scale data pipelines, enabling AI-powered insurance workflows.

As one of the first engineering hires, you will own data foundations, build robust APIs, and collaborate with a small, high-impact team to shape the platform’s reliability and compliance in a regulated space.

You will work closely with the CTO and Co-founders to translate real-world insurance needs into scalable data systems.

Qualifications

Experience building, operating and improving production systems in a startup or product-driven environment.
Strong Python and backend engineering skills.
Experience with data-intensive products, AI systems, or LLM applications.
Ability to work with messy, unstructured real-world data.

Responsabilités

Design, ship and improve AI-powered workflows used daily by insurance brokers.
Build evaluation, feedback and monitoring systems to continuously improve performance.
Turn complex insurance workflows into reliable AI-powered products.
Build and maintain data pipelines powering our products.
Process and structure unstructured data (contracts, emails, insurer documents).
Improve quality, reliability and observability of our systems.
Own systems end-to-end from design to deployment.
Contribute to architecture and key technical decisions.
Define how AI, data and engineering scale at Panora.
