Job summary

The Vibe Company in Paris seeks a versatile AI-focused engineer to own client projects end to end, from understanding business needs to shipping to production, working directly with the clients' teams.

You'll also build internal tools and automate workflows, turning fixes into reusable tools. You should be comfortable across frontend to deployment, with strong ownership and fluent English.

Take initiative, assist with sales when needed, and help shape the company as one of the first hires.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience required.
• You are very advanced in AI, or have solid technical foundations and a strong drive to grow.
• You will be evaluated on what you’ve built, how you learn, and your willingness to take ownership.
• You speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Own client projects end to end: understand the business, scope the need, build and ship to production, and work directly with the client's teams.
• Set up software factories for clients: tools and processes that automate everything from requirements to delivery.
• Spot what's slowing us down internally, test fixes, and turn successful changes into reusable tools (agents, skills, automations or internal software).
• Take initiative and address problems beyond coding; if a sales issue arises, participate in sales and earn referral commissions.

**Join the team from day one, working directly with both founders.**

About us

Before The Vibe Company, there was Quivr, our open-source RAG engine: it's what got us into YC (W24) and helped us raise €2M. Our open-source repos have 49k GitHub stars, and we're running a France 2030 AI project with AFP.

**We want to scale an agency with AI.** In practice, we automate as many processes as we can, both internally and in what we build for our clients (specs, code, tests, delivery). Every project, every task should make the next ones faster.

The role

**Client projects.** You own projects end to end: understanding the business, scoping the need, building and shipping to production, working directly with the client's teams. For some clients, we also set up **software factories**: tools and processes that automate everything, from requirements to delivery.

**Internal tools.** You spot what's slowing us down, test a fix and turn what works into a reusable tool: agents, skills, automations or internal software. **Taking initiative.** You spot what the company is missing and take care of it, even when it isn't code. If we have a problem on the sales side, you do sales, and you earn a percentage on the clients you bring in. It's a cross-functional role: you go wherever we need you.

What we're working on

• **AFP / MediaGen (France 2030):** AI tools for journalists: news monitoring, multimodal search and content production.
• **Monka:** an app for caregivers and a CRM for nurses.
• **Coup de Pâtes:** a CSR app and AI tools for document quality control.

Who we're looking for

You have at least 2–3 years of professional experience. You're already very advanced in AI, or you have solid technical foundations and a strong drive to grow. We look at what you've built, how you learn and how eager you are to take ownership.

AI

• You use AI every day, for coding and for everything else.
• You keep up: you know or are actively exploring today's tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, DeepSeek, agents, MCP, skills) and their limits.
• You've already built, or started building, something with LLMs: an agent, a RAG, an automation or a product.
• You're sold on AI, and it shows in what you test and what you learn.

Tech

• You can read and fix code you didn't write, including AI-generated code.
• You're comfortable from front end to deployment.
• You know how to ship a product to production properly: security, data, monitoring.

Clients

• You understand their business, clarify their needs and know when to say no.
• You can present your work to very different people, from leadership to frontline teams.
• You speak fluent English.

You take initiative.

• You don't wait to be told what to do. When you hit a problem, you work to understand it, propose a first approach and check that it works. If a process is wasting our time, you say so and suggest automating it.

Context switching and mental load

• You move between projects in the same day without losing the thread.
• You manage your workload: you prioritize, say when you're at capacity, ask for help or delegate.
• You're organized: your to-do list is up to date and your clients always know where their project stands.

Your place in the team

You'll work directly with Stan and Antoine, the two founders. We want to grow, and as one of our first hires, you'll help shape the company we're becoming: technical choices, internal tools, ways of working. Your ideas can become internal tools, open-source projects or client solutions.

What we offer

• €50–70K per year, depending on profile.
