Spiko is seeking a senior AI and data lead to supercharge our platform. You will own AI initiatives, integrate ML features into our product, and build an AI and data team as Spiko scales.
Based in Paris with offices in London, we offer hybrid work up to two days onsite and one full remote week per month. You will collaborate with legal, sales, and operations, and shape our analytics infrastructure using BigQuery, Datastream, Metabase, and modern toolchains.
Founded in 2023 by Antoine and Paul-Adrien, Spiko gives businesses, non-profits, financial advisers, and fintechs access to institutional-grade cash management, via app or API. We are building the full infrastructure: issuing, operating, and distributing the products ourselves.
Two years after launch, we serve thousands of organizations across Europe and process hundreds of millions of euros in flows every month.
Our ambition: become the world's leading treasury management infrastructure in a market worth trillions.
We are backed by Index Ventures, the CEO of Revolut, the founder of Kyriba, and the CTO of Wise.
Spiko runs on excellence, transparency, and straight talk.
Your mission is simple: supercharge Spiko with AI.
We are looking for a senior engineer to join Spiko's tech team and take ownership of our AI and data initiatives. The role sits within the tech team and works with the whole company; the ambition is that you build the AI and data team around you as Spiko scales.
Embed AI into Spiko's product, to give the CFOs who use Spiko the smoothest cash management experience there is. For example: letting users automate their deposits and withdrawals, run operations in Spiko straight from a prompt, or point their own AI agents at a Spiko MCP server to query positions and perform deposits and withdrawals programmatically.
Empower every team to use AI in their day-to-day work, including legal, sales, marketing and ops. For instance, give our customer support AI-assisted drafting and answering.
Keep us at the state of the art in AI-assisted software engineering, owning the tooling, practices and infrastructure that make AI a force multiplier for the whole tech team.
Own our data platform, evolving and maintaining the analytics infrastructure (BigQuery, Datastream, Metabase, etc.) that makes production data accessible to non-technical teams, and supporting the data initiatives built on top of it.
Languages and frameworks: Typescript, NX, Effect, React, Tailwind
Data & AI: BigQuery, Datastream, Metabase, LLM APIs and agent frameworks
Infrastructure: Terraform, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL
External services: Ory, Datadog
What's already in place?
Claude is deployed company-wide and all teams use it daily. A handful already run automated recurring workflows in production. Our product data has been queryable in plain language with Claude for almost a year, which means non-technical teams answer their own questions. You'll find a working base that needs an owner to take it to the next level.
You're a software or AI engineer with 5+ years of experience
You're comfortable as an individual contributor as well as managing stakeholders both inside and outside the tech team
You are very comfortable with cloud data infrastructure
You have hands-on experience building with LLMs (agents, RAG, tool use, evaluation) and shipping AI features to production, not just prototypes
You can operate autonomously with non-technical stakeholders: understanding a business team's workflow, scoping the right automation, and delivering it
You are comfortable working in an English-speaking environment
You are curious and eager to learn, with a problem-solving mindset
You have experience taking ownership of a technical domain across a company (platform, data, or AI enablement roles)
You have worked with functional programming patterns (we use Effect heavily)
You have built and shipped an MCP server, or agent-facing APIs
You have experience in capital markets, fintech or Web3
You have worked on tech projects in highly regulated environments (e.g. fintech, regtech, healthtech, edtech, etc.)
Compensation: Competitive package depending on experience + Stock Options
Offices: in central Paris & London
Remote work: up to 2 days per week and one full remote week per month
The best tech for your job: latest-generation laptops and industry-leading software
Health insurance: 100% covered by Spiko
Monthly Budget to cover different perks of choice
Transport: 50% of public transport pass covered or the Forfait Mobilités Durables (FMD)
Referral Bonus
Social life: regular afterworks and biannual offsites
