Job summary

Mistral is hiring a founding SRE/Production Engineering member for the Applied AI team. You will build and operate a framework to ensure reliable, scalable delivery across Mistral-hosted and customer-hosted deployments.

You will drive four modes: BUILD, RUN, ENABLE, and SECURE, focusing on proactive reliability, on-call excellence, security baseline packages, and secure configurations at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, Production Engineering or DevOps with tooling shipping experience.
• Strong multi-tenant Kubernetes fluency and network policy understanding.
• On-call discipline with blameless post-mortems and runbook-first mindset.
• Observability stack in production: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Tempo, Signoz.

Responsibilities

• Design for a fleet of platforms and apps; create SLO templates, runbooks and observability.
• Operate Tier-1 customer environments, ensure SLOs, manage on-call and incident response.
• Productize deployment, security baselines, and automation across multi-account setups.
• Own security operations: CVE response, SBOM, signed images, secure-config baselines.
