This role involves analyzing NOTAMS, planning flight routes, and calculating fuel based on aircraft weight and weather conditions. The role of the flight dispatcher is focused on flight preparation and flight monitoring.
Their main mission is to ensure flight preparation and optimization based on factors such as aircraft weight, current weather conditions, and aircraft performance.
They technically report to the Department Head, Division Head(s), and Project Manager(s).
They also assist the flight crew (pilots) during flight monitoring and execution.
For instance, they provide decision support in case of diversions due to adverse weather conditions or engine failure.
Technical activities include:
Level Required (Formation/Experience):
Holder of a diploma or certificate in Aircraft Operations Technician (ENAC, ESMA, Horizons Academy, or equivalent), with significant experience in Dispatch (ETOPS experience is a plus).
Required skills include:
Expert knowledge of regulations related to air operations and aviation safety
Proficiency in computer and communication tools
Excellent command of the English language
Ability to synthesize information and take a step back
Rigor and adaptability
Organisational and communication skills
Capacity for innovation, proactivity, and initiative-taking
