Job summary

Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse is seeking a Certification Specialist to join the Engineering department. You will define certification plans for system modifications and coordinate with designers, suppliers, test centers and authorities to secure timely approvals.

Ideal candidates bring significant experience in system safety and certification, solid knowledge of airworthiness processes, and the ability to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in system safety and certification.
• Knowledge of airworthiness processes and certification planning.
• Strong interaction with authorities and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in English for negotiations with authorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and negotiate Certification Plans with airworthiness authorities to certify systems modifications.
• Coordinate various Stakeholders (designers, suppliers, test centers, pilots) to ensure timely means of compliance.
• Manage the interface with Airworthiness Authorities throughout the certification process.
• Lead continuous airworthiness assessments, investigating potential safety issues and elaborating preventive actions.
• Contribute to system safety analyses, including FHA and System Safety Assessment.
