Could you be the full-time System Engineer in St Ouen, close to Paris, we’re looking for?

Your future role :

Take on a new challenge within Central Engineering dedicated to Rolling Stock & Component, in the Train System Department to work on architecture and sub-system : access and entrance. You’ll report to Frederic SETAN, World Class Master Expert and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates within a large community of stakeholders : Sourcing, Costing, Train Performance Manager, Train Design, Manufacturing, RAMS, Service, Validation.

The Access and Entrance System Engineer leads technically the engineering studies to reach the required performances at train level.

As product referent, ensures support as Expert on products and maintain portfolio of reference solutions.

We’ll look to you for :

During tender activities, you will :

  • Provide requirements capture & management : Capture Customer & End user needs and distil into Functional and non-functional requirements
  • Support Bid Technical Manager / Train System Engineering to identify the relevant solution among the Product Portfolio.
  • Write the Technical Purchasing Specification and the Technical Descriptionfor Customer
  • Drive the supplier technical proposalsand build a Technical Assessment considering Sourcing constraints and Platform strategy

During project activities, you will :

  • Act as the referent for sub- systems during the project life cycle from Kick-off meeting till validation at train level.
  • Be accountable of Technical Purchasing Specification for the system.
  • Prepare Design Reviews with suppliers & with all internal actors.
  • Ensure the quality of the deliverables and manage the technical Sub-System products keeping in mind the Products Strategy.
  • Follow Engineering planning and be focusing by On Time Delivery.

In the frame of R&D or expertise topics, you will :

  • Participate or lead Catalogue definition / strategy with Sourcing Team.
  • Identify new technologies and innovations that provide opportunities to improve services and deliver benefits.
  • Contribute to the future standard adressing core business and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure that solutions meet the required legislation and technical standards.
  • Be in support of 8D analysis when technical issues occurred on train in revenue service.
  • Leadreturn of experience on solution.

  • Master’s degree, with skills in mechanical and system design, you have a strong expertise (minimum 3 years) preferably in Railway.

  • An effective team player who can interface at all levels within the organisation and who can operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites / countries.
