Job Description :

• At least 12+ years of experience in FinOps & exposure to AWS billing & cost management.
• FinOps Practitioner certification is a must.
• Associate or Professional level certification in AWS is a must.
• Manage cost visibility of public cloud platform for AWS.
• Monitor cloud spend and create budget alerts.
• Review & recommend the FinOps tool.
• Facilitate the implementation of FinOps tool.
• Conduct periodic reports and regular reviews of cloud spend with AWS Native Billing Console & other FinOps tools.
• Manage cloud commitments (CUD, Saving Plans, RI) & suggest use of Preemptible or Spot instances, wherever suitable.
• Identify unused resources and schedule decommissioning.
• Optimize existing resources by rightsizing instances.
• Optimize architecture by migrating to scalable resources.
• Define the FinOps framework and roadmap.
• Support Finance for budgeting forecast and Enterprise agreements with providers.
• Become the bridge between Finance, Product Owners & Cloud Engineers.
• Advocate FinOps principles in day-to-day operations & induce FinOps culture within stakeholders.

Technical Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant fields.
• At least 12 years of experience on public cloud platforms and at least 3 years of exposure to AWS billing & cost management.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner is a must.
• Associate or Professional level certification in AWS.
• Good understanding of AWS Billing methodology, Organization & Project structure.
• Good understanding of instance types, storage types & other AWS services.
• Good understanding of cost drivers for cloud resources.
• Capable of consolidating data and delivering aggregate views/reports.
• Understanding of variable cost models for cloud resources.
• Moderate verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel and vendors.
• Good understanding of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation tools.
• Understanding of PowerBI / Quicksight reports.
