YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within the Group, you will join the AXA Group Ceded Re department.

The Group Ceded Reinsurance department has the following missions

Define and implement the AXA Group's reinsurance strategy.

Protect the earnings and balance sheets of the Group and its subsidiaries.

Analyze risks of hedged portfolios to determine appropriate reinsurance structures and leverage mutualization at the Group level.

Implement solutions that optimize the Group's internal capacities and facilitate risk transfers to external markets.

Ensure the security and efficiency of reinsurance operations for the Group and its subsidiaries.

Within this Department, you will be part of the Structuring, Analytics & Pricing team which is dedicated to enhancing the financial and risk profiles of the AXA Group and its entities through reinsurance. This mission encompasses three primary areas

  • Capital Management Develop and execute the Capital Management Reinsurance strategy.
  • Structuring & Analytics Define the strategy for Ceded Reinsurance.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis Oversee and track ceded financial metrics.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

The Financial Planning & Analysis Officer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust framework for monitoring ceded financials, ensuring alignment with the Group's financial objectives.

  • Financial Monitoring and Reporting
  • Develop and implement processes for monitoring ceded financials, ensuring both plan and actual views are accessible and actionable.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to ceded reinsurance, including premium, margin, and commissions.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, detailing performance against financial targets and key indicators.
  • Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders
  • Work closely with entities, Group Finance and AXA SA Finance to gather necessary data and insights for effective financial planning, as well as timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to ensure a cohesive approach to financial management.
  • Process Development and Improvement
  • Define and maintain processes for financial planning that enhance the Group’s ability to respond to financial challenges and opportunities related to ceded reinsurance.
  • Identify areas for improvement within existing financial processes and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Insights
  • Perform detailed analyses of ceded financials to identify trends and variances, providing insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Structuring & Analytics teams to propose new reinsurance structures and assess their impact on the Group's (or entities’) financial position.
  • Contribute to monitoring the performance of ceded reinsurance agreements for each reinsurer in partnership with the Ceded Re Data teams.
  • Experience and Education
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, actuarial science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in either
    • financial planning and analysis, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance industry, or
    • a technical (actuarial) position in insurance or reinsurance.
  • Technical and Professional Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of financial metrics and reporting.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, with experience in financial planning processes.
  • Knowledge of reinsurance principles and practices.
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of AXA’s financial frameworks and compliance requirements is an advantage.
  • Operational Management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to various audiences.
  • Ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders across different entities and countries.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Requirements
  • Fluent in English (C1/C2).
  • Proficiency in French is a plus.
