Job Description:

Job opportunity: Director of Finance – French Polynesia

The Director of Finance will lead the Finance department and associated operations such as account management, reporting, and interdepartmental and vendor relations to optimize the hotel’s profitability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that Finance teams provide month-end closing and all required management reports;
  • Working with Finance Managers/General/Hotel Manager to provide accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals;
  • Preparing capital reviews as required;
  • Developing and reviewing financial accounting and control procedures to maximize efficiency;
  • Ensuring accurate reflection of assets and liabilities on the balance sheets;
  • Leading monthly finance update meetings;
  • Reviewing balance sheets and reconciling accounts;
  • Improving financial awareness among department heads;
  • Leading environmentally conscious initiatives;
  • Mentoring junior staff and leading professional development;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and managing financial risks;
  • Communicating with stakeholders including investors and auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in French; European language skills preferred.
  • Degree in Finance or related field.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong organization, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel management and hospitality industry advantageous.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Gross salary: XFP 650,000/month + 20% annual bonus.
  • Accommodation included.
  • Travel allowance: XFP 200,000/year.
