As a future Financial Controller, reporting to the Head of FMCG Private Debt, you will be part of AXA IM Alts - Real Estate.

We are expanding our Commercial Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund Management Controlling Group within AXA IM - Real Assets, seeking a Financial Controller - Corporate to join either our London or Paris office. We seek a dynamic, rigorous, motivated team player with experience in real estate, debt, or finance.

The role focuses on the management of investment structures in Europe across various real estate asset classes and geographies, overseeing the funds from inception to liquidation. You will collaborate with fund management, client relations, risk teams, and external partners such as banks and legal advisors.

The successful candidate will adapt to evolving FMCG functions and assist in system, controls, and process upgrades aligned with platform growth.

Discover Your Opportunity

In Corporate Management, you will manage the daily operations of debt funds, including monitoring financial performance (IRR, dividends), cash flows, investor reports, FX hedging, fund distributions, and capital calls. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and monitoring investment vehicles and accounts
  • Managing investment structures, cash management, and compliance
  • Preparing cash forecasts and managing derivatives
  • Ensuring compliance with fund documentation
  • Monitoring fund performance metrics

Additional duties include reconciliation of dashboards and financial information, overseeing audits and service providers, and participating in transversal projects such as process reviews and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Business, engineering, or university education
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial institution, such as asset management or private debt funds

Your skills include:

  • Strong financial, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in English; German is a plus
  • Interest in fund legal documentation and real estate/infrastructure debt
  • Teamwork, multitasking, rigor, adaptability, and prioritization skills
  • Advanced Excel/VBA skills; knowledge of Simcorp Dimension is a plus
