Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies, distributes its own brands in France and Belgium, making these 2 markets combined the 3rd largest EU market for Standard+ Whisky in volume.
We are looking to reinforce the Finance team with a Junior Financial Analyst, based in France, for a duration of 8 months in order to support maternity leave covering.
The main focus will lie in Operations Controlling and Reporting. As such, a key function of the role will be to forecast, analyze and report on operating expenses: costs of sales (COGS), marketing expenses (A&P) and SG&A (Selling General & Administrative Expenses).
Thus, the incumbent will have to work closely with the rest of the team (financial analysts and finance manager) and act as a business partner with the other functions.
What You Can Expect
Participating actively in month-end-close processes, collaborating with the accounting department and all other stakeholders,
Analyzing the main variances in results and explaining them to the French Leadership Team and to the European team,
Leading the forecasting process for costs of sales, marketing expenses and SG&A in collaboration with the other teams and consolidating data,
Co-operating with other departments to ensure that the right practices and processes are in place and followed,
Participating in internal projects,
Support the other members of the Finance team in any other topics during vacation leave or any increased activity period,
Ad-hoc request.
What You Bring to the Table
Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Bachelor, Certifications: Finance
Experience: First experience in Finance controlling (apprenticeship/internship accepted),
Prior experience in Wine and Spirits or Luxury FMCG industries will be interesting.
