Note: About the Role
Responsibilities
- Finance Manager as a trusted business partner for internal and external stakeholders, supporting growth, scaling financial operations, and driving informed decision-making.
- Report to and collaborate with the CFO; contribute to controlling, forecasting, reporting, managing day-to-day operations, and automating finance workflows.
- Be analytical, organized, proactive, open-minded and curious; leverage AI and automation tools to elevate how finance operates in a fast-growing environment.
What you will be doing
- Financial Analysis & Controlling
- Lead the monthly closing process (P&L, cash flow position, and cash flow statement)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions (cost optimization, accruals, budget overruns, etc.)
- Monitor and optimize cash flow and financial transactions
- Track and analyze key ops/finance KPIs (ARR, churn, CAC & LTV, ACV, burn, etc.)
- Support the CFO in preparing the monthly finance deck for leadership and Board
- Conduct on-demand analysis, dashboards, and models to support strategic decision-making
- FP&A & Business Partnering
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast with CFO and operational teams
- Partner with revenue, marketing, R&D, and HR to track performance and resource planning
- Run business planning with scenarios to pilot topline growth, hiring pace, cash EBITDA, burn, etc.
- Accounting
- Act as key contact for external accountants, auditors, and legal advisors
- Manage monthly closings with accountants for French and US entities: invoicing, revenue recognition, payroll and other costs, accruals
- Ensure quality of financial information for annual audits and due diligence
- Operation day-to-day management
- Order to cash: billings and credit management to ensure timely cash collection
- Procure to pay: procurement and payment processes
- Review subscriptions and other costs for optimization
- Oversee day-to-day expenses and payroll processes with HR and finance tools
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs and maintain relationships
- Project Work / AI & Automation
- Participate in fundraising, due diligence, and board reporting
- Identify bottlenecks in financial workflows and propose recommendations
- Leverage AI and automation to streamline finance workflows: reporting, cash mapping, credit management, KPIs
- Assist in implementing new processes and finance tools (e.g., Chargebee, Pigment)
Are you the one?
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years in financial audit/transaction services from top firms
- 2+ years in FP&A or finance roles in a tech startup or scale-up
- Technical skills:
- Solid knowledge of accounting, finance, and HR
- Strong command of Excel/Sheets to automate financial reporting and build models
- Ability to design and deliver executive presentations (board materials, investor decks, strategic reviews)
- Hands-on experience or appetite for automation/AI tools in a business context
- Personal skills:
- Autonomous, structured, and proactive
- Analytical mindset with ability to switch between strategy and execution
- Team player with cross-department collaboration
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable in international, multicultural environments
