Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing and directing all aspects of payroll processing and accounting operations.
- Supervise and guide the Accounting staff and Payroll team.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules required by the hotel.
- Ensure accuracy and proper recording of all charges and credits in a timely manner.
Finance Planning
- Prepare schedules for expense accounts as required.
- Reconcile all Balance Sheet items with subsidiary Ledgers and schedules, ensuring all accounts are cleared monthly.
- Assist in preparing the organization's annual budgets.
People Management
- Coordinate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure cooperation, productivity, morale, and guest satisfaction.
- Respond to queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure team safety training is conducted.
- Keep personnel informed of department objectives and policies.
- Motivate and develop team members for smooth departmental functioning.
Financial Management
- Identify and promote cost-effective resource utilization.
Operational Management
- Oversee and control accounting processes.
- Research impacts of legal or regulatory changes on accounting policies.
- Establish and monitor internal controls for timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Produce and analyze ad-hoc reports for the Finance Controller.
- Record, classify, and summarize transactions per standards.
- Represent the Finance Department in internal and external interactions.
- Review and sign journal vouchers prepared by various accounting teams.
- Participate in cross-functional teams as a Finance Department representative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Completed Inter level in CA or ICW.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is advantageous.
- At least 6 years of experience in finance or accounting, or 2 years in a similar role.
- Strong professionalism and business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems.
Knowledge of and compliance with financial regulation standards.
