Job summary

Danfoss is seeking an experienced Field Systems Engineer to support compressor applications across Europe. Locations include Mestre (Italy), Trévoux (France), Uxbridge (UK) or Offenbach (Germany).

The role involves technical and application support for OEMs, close collaboration with sales teams, and regular travel across Europe. The ideal candidate has a Engineering degree, 5+ years in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration sector, strong hands-on knowledge of chillers, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Thermodynamics or related field is an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry with design and application of refrigeration systems.
• Strong hands-on and theoretical knowledge of chillers, refrigeration systems and compressor applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; customer-focused and business oriented.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent English required; Italian/German/French an advantage.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe, typically around 25% of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support to OEM customers and sales teams across Europe.
• Act as the main technical contact for product application, troubleshooting and quality topics.
• Analyze compressor and refrigeration system issues; perform failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Represent customer voice internally to improve products and support new development.
• Plan and conduct customer visits, technical training, product demonstrations, and other activities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality and other teams to drive initiatives.
