Qualifications

  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with developer tooling and vulnerability management.

Software Engineer - Developer Experience

Paris, France; Madrid, Spain

The Dependency Management team is part of the Developer experience Org. Our team works on building features to automate the software lifecycle management for all of Datadog Engineering. We build features to improve the developer experience at Datadog and to ensure the software supply chain is secure and up to date. As a Software Engineer on the Dependency management team, you will work on building a key part of our platform, own and improve systems running at high scale. You’ll join at an ideal time to make a big impact, the product is seeing very high growth, adaptability and investment from leadership on our roadmap with many new features to build.

What You’ll Do :

  • Design, implement, own and support one of our key components end to end.
  • Write a significant amount of code, lead architectural decisions for new and existing services.
  • Run a lightweight agile process to pace and track what we work on and deliver high quality work.

Who You Are :

  • Self-motivated, self-starter builder who takes pride in solving problems for your customers and is able to identify customer needs and pain points proactively.
  • A proven ability to own and deliver features in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment to build a brand new product.
  • 4+ years of experience working on backend engineering preferably using one of Java / Python / Go language but language skill is not a blocker.
  • Experience with working on developer tooling / developer experience projects.
  • Experience with Go-Lang.
  • Experience with artifactory, testing frameworks, & package managers like Pip, Npm, Cargo etc.
  • Experience with Github APIs.
  • Experience with vulnerability management.
  • Experience with software inventory management.
  • Experience with code ownership.
