Camlin Power designs, manufactures, and supplies innovative products to the power industry. With over four decades of success in the Electric Utility sector, we have developed widely adopted solutions for major electricity utilities globally.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support our expanding customer base in France and Europe. The candidate will be based in France, preferably in the Lyon area. The role involves travel across France, other European countries, and occasionally internationally to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training. The technician will be the front line in assisting customers during start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and emergency responses. We seek independent, clear-thinking individuals who communicate effectively and are committed to project completion.

Key Tasks

  1. Install, service, and maintain HV transformer monitoring equipment; provide customer training as needed.
  2. Meet daily service repair needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Assess product/equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  4. Provide technical support to customers and service professionals.
  5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Summary: The candidate must demonstrate strong electronic troubleshooting skills and maintain high product knowledge.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to train customers on equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Willingness to work additional hours, weekends, and travel up to 70% within France, with limited international travel; a valid passport and driver’s license are required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in electrical utility industry with HV systems.
  • Previous field engineering experience with transformer monitoring equipment.
  • Good project management skills and ability to work independently.

Languages

  • French: Required
  • English: Good proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Additional languages are a plus.
