Join our team as a Field Service Engineer at TOMRA Food

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to ensure the seamless operation of our food sorting systems. The role involves commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training, and repair activities mainly in France.

Reporting to the French Team Leader, you will be part of our field service team, ideally based in the Rhone region. Your responsibilities include responding to equipment and customer issues on-site and remotely, delivering detailed field reports, and conducting training sessions for customers' maintenance and service staff.

This position offers a mix of hands-on work and independent problem-solving, suitable for passionate engineers. It requires approximately 75% domestic travel across France and 25% to neighboring countries.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver efficient field service work to meet cost and time objectives.
  2. Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines to exceed customer expectations.
  3. Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including repairs.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer support processes.
  5. Perform installations and adjustments of TOMRA Food equipment.
  6. Provide comprehensive training to customers on system operations and maintenance.
  7. Maintain accurate field reports for administrative follow-up.
Qualifications - About You:
  • Technical training at BAC+2 level in Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or related fields.
  • Fluent in French; good understanding of spoken and written English (min. B2); other languages are a plus.
  • Proven experience in on-site preventive and corrective maintenance supporting industrial clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within France, with occasional international travel and flexible hours.
  • Good IT, networking, and PC configuration skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
