TOMRA is seeking an international field service engineer to join their team. This role involves extensive travel and responsibilities such as field service work, technical support, and training of personnel. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering and excellent communication skills.

Job DescriptionAs an international field service engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for field service work (commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, and repair) worldwide. This includes on-call technical phone support and field response to equipment and customer issues. You will provide detailed field reports after each installation or technical intervention, which are useful for the entire organization, and support sales and project management. Additionally, you will train customer maintenance and service personnel on-site, as well as TSS Service Engineers.
QualificationsCandidate Profile
You are flexible, willing to travel abroad, and meet the following requirements:
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering
- Working knowledge of basic electrical power circuits and PLC circuits is advantageous
- Knowledge of computer hardware and configurations is a plus
- Basic understanding of programming, preferably in C++, C, Java, or Python, is considered a plus
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal and external associates, and management
- Excellent communication skills in English and/or other languages are a plus
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willing to travel abroad at least 80% of the time, with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holiday seasons.
