Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot our hardware and software products at customer sites across the defined territory. The role requires frequent travel and close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Product teams to maximize device utilization.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience with life science instrumentation, familiarity with NGS platforms, and strong IT networking/Linux skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and support of life science instrumentation.
• Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms is highly desirable.
• IT networking and Linux operating systems are useful skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork across departments to resolve issues and hit milestones.

Responsabilités

• Install hardware and software at customer sites.
• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Submit service and expense reports and work orders promptly.
• Provide Voice of the Customer feedback to managers and teams.
• Ensure customer satisfaction within SLA timelines and PM deadlines.
• Review and revise SOPs as needed.
• Manage and maintain inventory of service parts.
• Train other field engineers and customers.
