A global energy leader is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Surgères, France. Responsibilities include supervising technicians and performing maintenance on emergency diesel engines. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the industrial marine or energy sectors; knowledge of the nuclear sector is a plus.

What you will be doing

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising a team of technicians and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on Wärtsilä emergency diesel engines installed in nuclear power plants.
• Acting under the supervision of a superintendent and embodying the superintendent's authority in their absence.
• Participating in troubleshooting activities.
• Performing engine running tests.
• Promoting the Wärtsilä brand.

All tasks are to be carried out respecting applicable Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, in line with Wärtsilä's commitments.

Qualifications and skills for success:

• Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Deep knowledge of diesel engine mechanics; familiarity with Wärtsilä engines is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in the industrial marine or energy sectors; knowledge of the nuclear sector is a plus.
