wpd windmanager is seeking a Technical Manager (m/f/d) to oversee the technical supervision, performance and regulatory compliance of wind energy and PV sites. The role reports to the Head of Operations and involves coordinating on-site interventions and preparing client-focused technical reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in engineering or has relevant experience in renewables, with fluency in English and willingness to travel to field sites in France.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in wind farm operations or renewable energy sector preferred.
• Good understanding of French regulatory framework (ICPE) and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read, understand and analyze technical contracts.

Responsabilités

• Daily monitoring and analysis of wind farm operations, including alarms and underperformance.
• Supervise regulatory compliance and contractual KPIs (O&M, TSA, EPC).
• Act as main contact for O&M providers, subcontractors, agencies and clients.
• Coordinate on-site interventions and participate in regular inspections.
• Prepare technical reports for clients, investors and authorities.
• Support implementation of management systems and drive continuous improvement.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH US

As Technical Manager (m/f/d), you will report to the Head of Operations and be responsible for the technical supervision, performance and regulatory compliance of the sites operated by wpd windmanager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily monitoring and analysis of wind farm operations, including alarms, faults, underperformance and safety-related issues
• Monitoring technical contracts such as O&M, TSA and EPC agreements as well as the associated KPIs, including availability and performance
• Monitoring and documenting regulatory compliance, particularly regarding ICPE regulations, regulatory inspections and HSE requirements
• Acting as the main point of contact for our technical stakeholders, including O&M providers, subcontractors, government agencies and clients
• Organizing and coordinating on-site interventions with service providers and other relevant parties
• Taking part in regular on-site inspections
• Preparing technical reports and documentation for clients, investors, banks, PPA partners and authorities
• Monitoring and supporting the implementation of technical and operational management systems
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of methods, tools and practices within the Operations team

YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE THESE STRENGTHS TO US

• A Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field – or relevant professional experience in a comparable position
• Professional experience in wind farm operations; previous experience in the renewable energy sector is highly valued
• A good understanding of the French regulatory framework, particularly ICPE regulations as well as health and safety requirements
• Confidence in reading, understanding and analyzing technical contracts
• Good software and technology skills; experience with MS Office and SharePoint is an advantage
• Knowledge of the RotorSoft supervisory system is a plus
• Fluent spoken and written English
• A valid Category B driving licence
• Ability and willingness to work at height
• Willingness to travel regularly to field sites
• Motivation to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector
