IMI is a global engineering company seeking a Field Application Engineer in France (Paris/Collégien) with remote options. You will translate customer requirements into practical automation solutions, collaborate with sales and engineering teams, and provide technical guidance to ensure long-term customer success.

Key duties include selecting products, configuring systems, creating CAD drawings, preparing proposals, and supporting customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in application engineering, technical support, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Willingness to travel within France – including occasional overnights.

Role Overview

As a Field Application Engineer, you will help customers solve technical challenges by developing practical application and automation solutions. Working closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering colleagues, you will translate requirements into effective solutions, provide technical guidance, and support long‑term customer success. This role combines hands‑on engineering expertise with regular customer interaction in a dynamic industrial environment.

Location:

France, Paris/Collégien and remote.

Travel:

Regular travel within France to support customers and business activities. Expect 1-2 days a week of travel. Most of the other days you will spend at our offices in Paris/Collégien.
