The role of the Family Support Worker has been developed to support family members/ significant others who have someone experiencing mental distress and are receiving care from HSE mental health services.
The Family Peer Support Worker will provide practical assistance to family members in helping them manage the impact of mental illness in their lives. The role will provide family lived experience perspective into service improvement and support the recovery process for themselves and others
