The ESRF, based in Grenoble, France, seeks a Building’s operation and maintenance technician to support the 41 buildings, 11 ha of green areas and 20 km of underground networks. You will manage maintenance campaigns, supervise contractors, and ensure safety inspections are conducted efficiently.

Fluent French and professional English are required; a technician diploma in building maintenance with 5+ years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

Technician diploma or equivalent in building construction or maintenance.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Project and a CMMS system (GMAO).
At least five years in maintenance, finishing works, construction or related inspections.
Ability to write technical specifications, meeting reports and cost estimates (asset).
Fluent in French and proficient in English; strong communication in diverse teams.

Responsabilités

Oversee landscaping, cleaning and vending machine frame contracts.
Organise lab and office relocations and support ESRF events.
Plan and coordinate building maintenance campaigns (doors, windows, painting, waterproofing).
Manage user‑requested works: quotations, purchases and supervising works.
Monitor furniture and equipment for the on‑site guesthouse and restaurant.
Organise and monitor mandatory safety inspections (fire hydrants, lifelines, doors, smoke systems, handling tools).
Ensure daily interface with the sub‑contractor for waste management.
