What you will do:

  1. Be a key leader and contributor to the development team.
  2. Manage schedules across multiple departments within the game team to ensure milestones are met and delivered as expected.
  3. Create milestone content and realistic production schedules in coordination with team leads and management.
  4. Manage project budgets, track actual spend versus plans, and update projections.
  5. Manage change by controlling scope, preventing feature creep, and ensuring project delivery within expectations and budget.
  6. Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget, and design goals.
  7. Continuously assess risks and align project scope with budget and schedule.
  8. Communicate project status and issues with the client, Development Director, and senior management, providing recommendations.
  9. Maintain close communication with team leads and support team members technically and materially.
  10. Ensure team members adhere to schedules and understand their responsibilities for quality and timeliness.
  11. Foster excellent communication, teamwork, and positive working relationships within the team and across disciplines.
  12. Coach and mentor junior production staff.
  13. Stay informed about current market trends, especially regarding similar or competitive products.

Qualifications:

  1. Successfully shipped at least 2 AAA games in a production management role.
  2. Highly responsible, self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a creative mindset.
  3. Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  4. Proficient in project management software such as Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
  5. Familiar with SCRUM and Agile practices.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and respond effectively.
  7. Effective communicator within large, multi-project environments.
  8. Strong analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
  9. Quick learner of proprietary tools and processes.
  10. Receptive to direction and constructive criticism.
  11. Ability to meet deadlines and work professionally within a team.
  12. Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff.
