Job summary

Wabtec seeks a Director of Sustainability Europe to lead ESG strategy and regulatory reporting across Europe. You will partner with senior leaders to align sustainability initiatives with business goals, oversee disclosures, and drive performance metrics in the Transit division and European operations.

The role requires strong advisory skills, cross-functional leadership, and deep knowledge of CSRD/ESRS and EU Taxonomy to support growth, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience building and implementing sustainability programs in multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GRI, ISSB, TCFD and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESG reporting and regulatory support across Europe, ensuring governance and reliability.
• Drive Sustainability Strategy across Transit and European operations with senior leadership.
• Engage customers and suppliers, strengthen industry relationships and respond to ESG inquiries.
• Act as advisor to regional leadership, translating regulations into practical actions.
