Anses is looking for an European project manager in the field of hazard assessment with an asssignment contract until 30/04/2029. You will participate to the European Partnership for the assessment of risks of chemicals ( eu-parc.eu ). In the frame of the Horizon Europe framework programme, PARC is a major European partnership aimed at strengthening research and innovation capacity for chemical risk assessment in order to protect human health and the environment and contribute to a non-toxic environment and a circular economy.
Within Anses’s Risk Assessment Direction (DER), the Methodology and Studies Unit (UME) coordinates, in collaboration with an entity of the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR, German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment), workpackage 5 (WP5) on hazard assessment as part of PARC ( eu-parc.eu ).
Under the authority of the Head of Unit and in close collaboration with the WP5 co-leader at Anses, you will be primarily involved in coordinating PARC's WP5. In particular, you will be responsible for monitoring the work of the various European partners in WP5, in collaboration with your counterpart at the BfR. You will also take part in scientific activities related to the WP5 work programme, in particular the monitoring of subcontracted experimental studies.
Your main missions :
Monitoring the scientific activities of WP5 and to check the progress of the work with the partners and ensure that the timetable for the delivery of the deliverables is being adhered to (Milestones, Deliverables);
In collaboration with the partners, participating in the preparation of WP5's annual work programmes and activity reports for the budgetary and scientific aspects;
Monitoring scientific activities in connection with WP5 and the PARC partnership as a whole, in particular new methodological approaches in toxicology and chemical risk assessment;
Participating to the scientific orientation meetings of WP5 and of the partnership;
Organizing meetings (physical and virtual) with WP5 task leaders and/or partners and taking minutes;
Interacting and communicating regularly with the project partners, in particular to answer questions on administrative and financial aspects.

Skills/Qualifications
Agricultural engineer, veterinary pharmacist or Master's 2 with a speciality in toxicology, biology or risk assessment.
Previous experience in managing collaborative scientific projects (national or European) is desirable;
Initial international experience would be appreciated.
Specific Requirements
Skills in European project management (budgetary, administrative and relational aspects);
Knowledge of European issues in terms of chemical risk assessment (Chemicals strategy for sustainability, REACH, Next generation of risk assessment, etc.);
Knowledge of new methodological approaches in toxicology (NAMs);
Good command of English (written and oral communication);
Rigour and autonomy, a taste for teamwork, organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines;
Good interpersonal skills, dynamic, proactive;
Good command of the Office pack (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and remote collaborative working tools.
Remuneration: Depending on experience and level of training, with reference to health agency pay scales.
Special conditions:
In accordance with Art L.5323-4 of the French Public Health Code, the person recruited will be required to complete a public declaration of interests.
Travel within Europe is required approximately 3 to 4 times a year for 1 to 3 days.
