European Communications Officer — Events & Medical Writing

Job summary

ECRIN, based in Paris, recruits a (Junior) Communication Officer to join its international team. The role supports clinical research communications, event planning, and publication activities, with a focus on accurate, accessible language for diverse audiences.

The position is a 1-year full-time contract in Paris, with potential extension. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in international event planning and medical writing, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of international event planning experience, online and face-to-face.
• At least 2 years in medical writing or scientific communication in health care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; native or equivalent.
• Editorial excellence: clear, accurate, grammatically correct texts.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with LinkedIn, Drupal, Canva, InDesign and video editing is a plus.
• University degree in health, life science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to translate clinical research into accessible language for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Implement the communication strategy across online and print channels.
• Maintain and upgrade website content with IT support.
• Create internal/external documents, newsletters, brochures, flyers, and social media.
• Support writing and proofreading of scientific articles.
• Organise conferences and workshops, onsite and online across Europe.
• Support events with project managers and European Correspondent.
• Handle event logistics with partners and project managers.
• Other duties as assigned.
